Overview

The AI-816 is a fixed UHF RFID reader built on the Impinj E710, with eight SMA antenna ports. It reads ISO 18000-6C (EPC Gen2) tags at up to 1100 tags per second and 0–25 m, polling the eight antenna ports with anti-collision. RF output is adjustable from 0 to 33 dBm.

USB, RS232 and TCP/IP are standard, with GPIO (2 optically isolated inputs and 2 outputs), and PoE is optional. The reader caches 600 tags at 128-bit EPC and supports RSSI to identify tag signal distance.

The die-cast aluminum housing is rated IP55 and the reader runs on 12 V, 2 A. The SDK supports C#, Delphi, Java, Python, VB and other languages, and firmware can be upgraded online.
